This is a question asked by a lot of our clients when they call us. It is unfortunate, but we can not diagnose a unit over the phone. Our technicians are trained to repair TVs to component level. Since there are some boards that can not be repaired due to their design, the cost of the repair will depend on if we can repair the defective circuit or if a board needs replaced. We will make every attempt to repair boards to component level which keeps costs down for our customer.
The ever important question. The fact is, if you buy new, your money goes overseas. These overseas companies get richer. We are in the business to repair TVs. With the many resources we have for service manuals, parts and technical resources, we are able to keep prices low for our clients. After a technician diagnosis your unit, you will be given a written estimate. Your diagnosis charge goes toward your repair if you decide to have your unit repaired. In most cases it is more economical to repair your unit than replacing. Our office personell are trained to determine soem instances where this may not be true, such as a very expensive part, such as a light engine or panel display. If it sounds like it may take an expensive part, you will be advised up front. However, we cannot give an exact estiamte unless your unit is diagnosed by a technician.
Once we have your model number, our call center will ask you a series of questions so our technicians can determine which circuit(s) may have failed. Once an appointment is set with us, your information is sent to a technician who will do research using the information provided and order the parts that he may need for your repair. You will be scheduled in accordance with when we expect to have your parts. You only pay for the parts used in your TV. We have relationships with our parts distributors that allow us to return parts we do not use on a repair. If your symptoms dictate we may have the parts in stock, you will be given the next available time slots. Most CRT projections TVs are repaired on site, first trip. Others sets average repair time is 2-3 days.
If your TV was manufactured since 2000 and is a projection TV, we can usually repair this for just a few hundred dollars and in some cases offer a 6 month warranty on the repair. This offer applies to name brand units.
We offer a 6 month limited warranty on most repairs. Off brand units are an exception. We can repair these units as well, but the reliability of repair parts is some times questionable. We can offer an extended warranty on sets less than 4 years old. Ask our office personell or technician for more information.
Our technicians attend training several weeks a year. The second week of June, the office is closed so that staff and technicians can attend training. We have certified CSR(Customer service representative), CSM(Customer service manager), MST(Multi-media system technician).
